A Beautiful Story
The Gospel begins with creation and moves through humanity’s forgetting into the revelation of Jesus—the One who shows us the Father and reveals what humanity was always intended to be.
It is not a story about a reluctant God finally persuaded to love us. It is the story of a King relentlessly pursuing His children and revealing what has been true in His heart from the beginning.

Forgetting who we are produced more than confusion—in Adam, the race really died to its life in God (2 Corinthians 5:14). The death was real; the distance was the lie. The design was buried, never erased. The Gospel does not minimize sin or soften the fall; it announces the rescue both required.
From Creation to Awakening
Created
Made in His image. Beloved from the beginning.
Forgotten
We forgot who we were—and the forgetting was fatal. In Adam the race went dead toward God; the distance was the lie.
Revealed
Jesus revealed the Father, showed us true humanity—and in His death and resurrection, carried the dead race into life.
Awakened
The finished work invites us to see, receive, and live from Christ.
You were always His in His heart and His finished work; you came alive to it the day you said yes.
IT IS FINISHED.
At the cross, Jesus declared a completed work. Reconciliation is accomplished. Victory is won. We are invited to live from what Christ has done rather than strive to add to it.
The Gospel Changes the Way We See Everything.
What Sin Is
If metanoia is seeing rightly, sin is what life produces when we don’t.
Sin is the result of living from a false source — the branch straining to bear fruit apart from the Vine.
The result of a distorted identity — orphan behavior from sons and daughters who forgot the Father.
The result of believing the lie of separation — grasping, striving, hiding — taking what was already freely given.
Whatever is not sourced in faith is sin (Rom. 14:23) — life out of sync with the celebration it was made for.
The Greek word is hamartia: missing the mark. Not first a crime — a miss. And the deeper miss is missing who you are.
Sin is the fruit, never the root.
The root is blindness — forgetting who you truly are. And the fruit is real: sin destroys life, wastes purpose, wounds people, and produces death. We take it more seriously, not less, because we know what it costs — and what it cost Him.
God’s answer is not behavior management but resurrection: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you” (Eph. 5:14). Sin dethroned. Death defeated. And the gaze shifts — from sin-consciousness to righteousness-consciousness. You don’t conquer sin by staring at it. You outgrow it by beholding Him.

Union With God
“Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
The Gospel is more than forgiveness from something. It is life in Someone. Jesus reveals the astonishing nearness of God and the life of union for which humanity was created.
This changes the starting point. We are no longer climbing toward God as though He were distant. We receive the gift of Christ and learn to live from His indwelling life.
You awaken to it.
Go Deeper
The questions worth asking—God’s wrath, sanctification, final judgment, whether any of this is new—deserve more than a paragraph. We wrote two books to answer them well.
The Kingdom Has Come Near.
Jesus announced the Kingdom as present reality—not merely a distant destination. The life of Heaven has come within reach in Christ and is meant to be expressed here and now.
The life of Heaven is your inheritance now.
The Story, Simply Told
The Mirror
Look at Jesus and you are looking at two revelations at once: the Father’s heart — and your own true face.
He is the image of the invisible God. And you were made in that image. The fall buried it; it never erased it. Like the watermark in currency, like the inscription on the lost coin — the design remained beneath the dirt, waiting for light.
So God did not send a lecture. He sent a mirror. Paul says we all, with unveiled faces, behold the Lord as in a mirror and “are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory” (2 Cor. 3:18). Not by striving — by seeing. Beholding is becoming. From glory to glory the veil lifts, and every glimpse of His goodness changes the way you see — until sin-consciousness gives way to innocence-consciousness, and you stop measuring a distance that was never there.
This is what Jesus restores. Our image, restored. Our likeness, redeemed. In Him you stand blameless — innocent — complete.
Jesus is the mirror: look at Him, and see who you truly are.
“Now, we all, with new understanding, see ourselves in him as in a mirror. The days of window-shopping are over. In him every face is unveiled. In gazing with wonder at the likeness of Elohim displayed in human form, we suddenly realize that we are looking into a mirror, where every feature of their image, articulated in the Lord, is reflected within us. The Spirit of the Lord engineers this radical transformation; and leads us from an inferior mind-set to the revealed endorsement of our authentic identity. From the fading glory of our own doing, to the discovery of the most amazing reality, that we are God’s glorious masterpiece!” 2 Corinthians 3:18 — Mirror Study Bible
Yield
The posture that makes all of this real is not more effort. It is yielding.
Not striving to understand more, perform better, or feel the right things. Simply — opening the hand. Releasing what you have been carrying. Saying yes to what God has already said yes to.
Yielding is not passivity, and it is not a work. It is permission. Resurrection power — the same power that raised Christ from the dead — is already at work in you. It does not need your performance. It only needs your permission.
And here is the paradox every yielded life discovers: the more you surrender, the more whole you become. You are not losing yourself. You are finally becoming who you always were.
This is how awakening begins — and how it continues. Not one yes long ago, but a daily opening of the hand. We awaken as we yield.
This Good News Is an Invitation.
The gift is not something we earn. It is received. If your heart is responding to Jesus, you can answer Him simply and personally.
Lord Jesus, thank You for loving me before I ever knew You. I believe You are the Son of God, that You died and rose again, and that Your work is finished.
I receive Your grace. Renew my mind and transform the way I see You, myself, and the life You have given me.
I choose to live from Your love rather than strive for it. Jesus, You are Lord. Lead me into the fullness of Your life and Kingdom.
